HISTORY AND MIGRATION (around 1400-1600 AD)
Ramogi III ( Ramogi Ajuang)arrived in Kenya and temporarily settled and built a home at Ligala, Bunyala.(Modern Bunyala)
The groups later migrated southwords across the yala swamp and settled on Ramogi hill; formerly known as Igoye (Lumia hills)
The groups included Joka Jok, Joka Omolo, Joka Owiny clans....
Jo-kowidi (alias Jo-kisumo) as they were known also stayed and founded a big settlement in Samia called 'Kisumo'
They assimilated and lived in Samia for 7 to 8 generations.They later moved to Siaya.
